the editing process

I
writing & typing the poems


i first write poems on my phone or paper, then rewrite them until i feel i would be able to read them aloud

(eventually, I do read them aloud to my wife or a friend for feedback)

i then type them on my typewriter, using A5 paper

this prevents me from further rewriting and allows me to think about the relations between them

narrative unfolding &  layout


i don't separate the layout work from the effort to collect the poems along a narrative that weaves the main themes emerging from them:

cover, backcover & illustrations


the cover art for the chapbook is made of two photographs my wife took with her analog camera. the two pictures are the first and the last one of the same color film, which explains the effect of light “biting” the picture:



i also use photocopies of 62 mm x 46 mm pictures that i took with my instant camera to illustrate the table of contents and aknowledgments:
